Wild Food &
Mushroom ID
Hawaii's forests are full of fungi and wild edibles most people walk right past. This class teaches you to see them.
The Fungi Are Everywhere
Hawaii has a rich and largely unrecognized mycological world — dozens of edible mushroom species growing in its forests, year-round. Most people don't know they're there. This class changes that.
Yuda leads a focused foraging walk with an emphasis on fungal identification — how to find mushrooms, how to correctly identify them, which are edible, which are toxic, and how to harvest safely and sustainably. The class also covers Hawaii's wild edible plants, since mushrooms rarely grow alone.
You'll leave with the skills and confidence to begin foraging mushrooms on your own — safely, methodically, and with deep respect for the systems that produce them.
